Description/Bio: Contemporary jewellery designed by Nadia Dajani and lovingly hand crafted by skilled artisans at our own workshop in Amman. We proudly incorporate the beautiful art of Arabic Calligraphy within our designs, choosing selected words and phrases which, with their spiritual meanings, are a vehicle for spreading messages of peace and harmony to the world. Our website is a journey presenting the "History of Jordan through Jewellery", where different eras of our rich heritage act as the inspiration for the design creations. The jewels are produced by a team of skilled artisans who have been trained by us in jewellery-making since the establishment of our company, and are now producing work of the highest standard. With a mission is to celebrate the 'handmade', we seek to provide job opportunities for women in Jordan through our project. In addition to our Gallery/ Showroom in Amman showcasing our latest collections, we regularly present internationally through select private exhibitions, and are delighted to put on show our Jordanian-made jewels for a wide audience to enjoy.

Natasha Dahdaleh
Description/Bio: Natasha Dahdaleh Art Statement: As a young artist, I use art as a language to communicate the things that I care about. I graduated from Central Saint Martin’s, University of the Arts – London in 2008. I decided to continue my art career alongside to teaching art and music; I want to open the eyes of those that do not know much about the arts through learning and education and to allow them to see beauty through our everyday life. For me, art, music and theatre are the most eloquent ways to invoke an open dialogue, and without it we are missing elements that are essential in one’s life. I work to create a universal language within my artwork and music be it in painting, chords, a song, drumming, sounds, mixed media, collage, photography or any other medium. I thrive off of personal and social interactions and enjoy meeting new people who generally inspire my art and music; students are defiantly an inspiration too. Personally, I feel that a clear way to address my ideas is through collaboration, exhibition and public art. I wish to be able to leave the audience with a memory, thought, or feeling to evoke a dialogue; I aim to leave traces, echoes and perhaps a smile. I highlight the beauty of repetition and obsession through different objects around the house, my work and work space. I use found bits and pieces and collage them into a painting to draw attention to how our everyday items, like newspapers, tipex, ribbons, paint and ink, can turn into an art piece. I believe that simple things can bring beauty to our life. My aspiration is to invite the viewer to reconsider their own understanding of objects that are used in their routine. Now, I look forward to working on projects that hopefully include working individually and also collaborating with many talented and young artists here in Jordan. Favourite quote: "Yesterday is a dream, tomorrow a vision; today well lived makes a happy dream of yesterday and a vision of hope tomorrow.”
